I am a lifelong lover of trains who is also a professional photographer. Contributing to this site will be sort of a busman's holiday for me. Also, the station/yard closest to me is a bit thin on trains: NECR at St. Albans, Vermont US. And they won't give out a schedule of the freight trains. (Apparently this is something new since 9/11 -- however, the schedule for Amtrak is posted outside the waiting room!)
I am a freight train junky and my incipient model railroad has no scenery and won't have. Just tracks--as many as I can jam into a small space. Professionally, I have a great interest in the graffiti on freight cars.
I am just learning to identify locomotives and welcome any help I can get in this area.
